Can I remove the oil tank myself? Isn’t it just a matter of digging it up?

Before excavating the tank, several steps need to be done. We first locate and mark other buried pipes in the property, like sewer lines, storm drains, and utilities. We apply for the necessary permits at both the local and state level. Any remaining oil or sludge in the tank must be removed and disposed of at an approved recycling center. After digging up the old tank, we seal any lines and pipes that are present. The tank will then be disposed of in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
